Google and James Cameron to launch incredible project: Planetary Resources

Google co-founders Eric Schmidt and Larry Page, along with Avatar director James Cameron and some other investors will start an ambitious project to explore the space and its natural resources. Project’s details will be announced next week.

The new company founded by Google bosses and Cameron is called Planetary Resources Inc. and will be introduced on Tuesday during a press conference in Seattle.

An advertising satement did not offer much info on the project, however it is stated that it covers the exploration of both space and natural resources that could bring billions of dollars to the budget. Wall Street Journal revealed that one of the goals of the project could be the extracting possibilities of natural resources on asteroids, an old idea that had seemed rather science fiction.
