Three American scientists – Miguel Aragon and Alex Szalay of the Johns Hopkins University and Mark Subbarao of the Adler Planetarium – developed a computer animation illustrating a flight through the universe, covering 400,000 galaxies. All galaxies shown in this film are real galaxies as their positions were observed in the scientific project Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) (scroll down for video).
