In a message posted on the microblogging website Twitter, Antonio Tajani announced that former Romanian anti-corruption leader Laura Codruta Kovesi is the proposal of the European Parliament for the chief prosecutor post.
Furthermore, the President of the European Parliament endorses Kovesi as a top choice to be the first-ever EU chief prosecutor and praised her for being an “exemplary woman”.
“Laura Codruţa Kövesi is @Europarl_EN candidate for European Public Prosecutor Office. She has all the qualities required to do a great job. We need more exemplary women like her in leadership positions,” Tajani wrote on the social website.
